Malaysia’s latest fuel prices have been announced for the first week of August 2025. If you’re a regular RON97 user, good news—RON97 has dropped by 4 sen, bringing the price down to RM3.17 per litre. Meanwhile, RON95 remains subsidised at RM2.05, and diesel stays flat at RM3.35 per litre.

This update is based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, as shared weekly by Malaysia’s Ministry of Finance.

Why RON97 Users Should Pay Attention

With RON97 priced according to global market trends, even a few sen drop can lead to savings. Over a full tank, a 4 sen difference could mean a few extra ringgit saved. For budget-conscious Malaysians, this change matters—especially for daily commuters.

Although diesel prices remain unchanged this week, fleet vehicle owners and businesses should still track costs. Diesel is no longer subsidised for most private users, and misusing fleet cards may result in cancellation, as authorities have warned.
