BYD Atto 2 EV coming to Malaysia July 24
BYD Malaysia has officially confirmed the launch date of the much-anticipated BYD Atto 2, a compact electric hatchback designed to take urban mobility to the next level. Set to be unveiled on 24 July 2025, with public test drives from 25 to 27 July at Heritage Valley, Kuala Lumpur, this launch could reshape the affordable EV landscape in Malaysia.
The Atto 2 comes in two battery configurations:
32 kWh battery offering up to 260 km WLTP range
45.1 kWh battery offering up to 312 km WLTP range
Both variants support fast charging, allowing a 30% to 80% charge in just 30 minutes. The car also sports BYD’s signature design language, featuring sleek LED lights, minimalist cabin styling, and a rotating touchscreen infotainment system, which has become a hallmark of BYD interiors.
This EV is expected to compete directly with the likes of Ora Good Cat and MG4, making it an ideal choice for city drivers seeking a stylish, practical, and emission-free ride.
