JPJ SIS number plate series bidding starts August 15

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has officially announced the release of the SIS number plate series, with bidding set to begin on August 15, 2024. 

This highly anticipated auction will be held exclusively through the JPJeBid online platform, which has become the standard for securing exclusive and limited-edition plate numbers in Malaysia.

According to JPJ, bidding will start from RM300 for regular numbers, while attractive combinations like single digits or repeated numbers can climb into the tens of thousands. 

The auction will run for five days, and winners must settle payment within one working day of the results being released.

The SIS plate series is open to all vehicle categories in Malaysia, including private cars, commercial vehicles, and government fleets. A unique plate can add prestige and potentially boost a car’s resale value.
