New parking fee operator takes over selangor councils from Aug 1
Heads up, Selangor drivers! Starting 1 August 2025, a new parking operator will be handling parking fee collection across major city councils – including MBPJ, MBSJ, MBSA, and MPS.
The Selangor state government has appointed a new parking concessionaire to take over operations from current service providers. This affects Petaling Jaya (MBPJ), Subang Jaya (MBSJ), Shah Alam (MBSA) and Selayang (MPS).
What Changes for Motorists?
Expect a shift from the current Smart Selangor Parking or Flexi Parking systems. With the new operator, a new cashless platform or app will likely be introduced for parking fee payments. It’s part of Selangor’s move toward unified and modernised public services.

Where Will the New System Be Implemented?
MBPJ – Petaling Jaya City Council
MBSJ – Subang Jaya City Council

These areas will fully transition to the new system on 1 August 2025.
