The Malaysian digital identity system, MyDigital ID, is about to become the only way to log into vital apps like MyJPJ and MyBayar PDRM.

Previously, users could still access these apps with a username and password, but soon only the secure, single-sign-on MyDigital ID will work. Malaysians are encouraged to register early to avoid losing access to services for license renewals, summons payments, and more.

This change aims to make your experience smoother and safer. The MyDigital ID connects directly to government databases, doesn’t store personal data, and supports biometric logins like fingerprint or facial recognition.

Over three million users already enjoy this modern, hassle-free access across more than 45 services, and adoption continues to grow.

Transitioning to one secure login is part of Malaysia’s broader push to unify online identity across government services. While a mandatory law is still in discussion, this shift highlights how driving licence and police apps are moving toward digital convenience.
