Kuala Lumpur traffic operation issues over 6,684 notices to motorists in Ops PUU campaign

Kuala Lumpur police have issued a total of 6,684 advocacy notices during a two-day traffic compliance operation called Ops PUU on September 14 and 15, 2025.

This massive enforcement drive by the Royal Malaysia Police targeted common traffic violations that Malaysian motorists often commit without realizing the serious safety risks involved. 

Traffic obstruction topped the list with 3,134 notices, followed by disobeying traffic signage, showing that many drivers still struggle with basic road compliance rules that could affect their car insurance premiums and driving records.

The Ops PUU operation focused on educating rather than penalizing motorists by issuing advocacy notices instead of traditional summonses for minor traffic offences.
