Malaysia fuel price spike: RON97 petrol and diesel jump for November 2025
Malaysia fuel users must prepare for higher costs this week. Starting November 20, 2025, and lasting until November 26, the cost of both RON97 petrol and diesel has increased by three sen per litre. This marks a new upward trend, putting extra pressure on budgets for drivers across the country who rely on these fuels daily.
The new price for RON97 petrol is now set at RM3.28 per litre, while diesel now costs RM3.10 per litre. These increases reflect current changes in global oil markets and the government’s weekly pricing mechanism. While the increase may seem small, it affects every trip taken and adds up quickly for those driving long distances or operating commercial vehicles for business.
It is important to remember that prices for unsubsidised fuels like RON97 are subject to change every week under the Managed Float System. Motorists should note that the price for RON95 petrol remains unchanged due to the existing government subsidy. However, consistently monitoring the prices for other fuel types is essential for managing daily vehicle running expenses in this current economic climate.
