Geely Auto's newest addition, the Panda Mini EV is a 'smol' and boxy four-wheeler that is sure to turn heads.
After the launch of the GWM Good Cat EV, the trend of adorable vehicles continues with Geely Auto's latest EV model. The Panda Mini EV (previously named the M2) is a small car measuring only 3.065 metres long and 1.522 metres wide. It stands 1.6m tall with a 2.015m wheelbase.
Its boxy body maximises its interior space while design cues such as its circular headlamps and three-spoke wheel design seem appropriate for its name.
It is rumoured to feature a front-mounted 41 PS (40 hp) electric motor as well as a lithium iron phosphate battery by Guoxuan High-Tech, which would potentially allow it to go as far as 150km on a single charge. It doesn't seem to be the best option if you need something to serve you for long-distance travel, especially with the choices you have on the market today, but as a city car, it would definitely be sufficient. In fact, its small footprint would surely be advantageous for navigating narrow roads or tight spaces in busy cities here in Malaysia.
The rumoured price range is somewhere between RM25,000 to RM30,000 but we'll just have to wait and see if that's the case if and when it arrives on Malaysian shores. Stay tuned to find out more!
