Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) is expanding its offering in Malaysia by introducing two new variants of the Ioniq 6, namely the Ioniq 6 Lite and Ioniq 6 Plus. These additions join the previously launched Max RWD and Max AWD variants that debuted in July, giving Malaysian customers more choices within the Ioniq 6 range.

The new Lite and Plus variants of the Ioniq 6 are equipped with a single-motor rear-wheel-drive (RWD) configuration. Both models feature a 53 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery paired with a 111 kW motor, delivering the same 350 Nm torque as the Max RWD. As a result, both Lite and Plus variants can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.8 seconds.

In terms of range, these variants can cover 429 km on the stringent WLTP cycle. Thanks to their 800-volt architecture, shared with the Max variants, the Ioniq 6 Lite and Plus can charge from 10% to 80% in a mere 18 minutes with a maximum of 350 kW DC. Even when using less powerful chargers, the Lite and Plus achieve efficient charging times of 10% to 80% in 58 minutes at 50 kW DC and a full 0% to 100% charge in 5.5 hours at 11 kW AC.
