This is one of two SUVs Jetour plans to launch in the second half of this year, with the other being the X70 Plus. Both models will be locally assembled (CKD).

The Dashing is a five-seater SUV built on the Kunlun architecture. In terms of size, it slots between the Honda CR-V (4,691 mm long) and the Toyota Corolla Cross (4,460 mm long). The Jetour Dashing measures in at 4,590 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, 1,685 mm tall, and has a wheelbase of 2,720 mm.

Jetour will offer the Dashing in two variants: Prime and Signature. Both variants share the same powertrain, a 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine producing 156 PS (154 hp) at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 4,000 rpm. Power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch transmission, and drivers can choose between three drive modes: Economy, Comfort, and Sport.

Launch Expected in H2 2024

More details about features, pricing, and availability are expected closer to the launch date in the second half of 2024. With its competitive size and locally-assembled status, the Jetour Dashing could be an interesting option for Malaysian SUV buyers looking for a new brand in the market.
