MyJalan app Malaysia flags 39,000+ road issues since launch
MyJalan app Malaysia leads public reporting with more than 39,000 verified reports, helping authorities find and fix hazards faster.
Since its launch in August 2023, the MyJalan app Malaysia has logged over 39,000 road issue reports from users nationwide. Drivers and residents have reported potholes, damaged signs, flooding and blocked drains, with Selangor, Johor and Sarawak among the top states for complaints. The Ministry of Works uses MyJalan to prioritise repairs and to improve road safety Malaysia by reducing hazards that can lead to accidents.
The reporting process is simple and verifiable. Users upload photos, mark precise GPS locations and submit incidents directly to local councils, which then validate reports and deploy repair crews. The app provides status updates so the public can track progress, which increases transparency in road maintenance Malaysia and helps authorities allocate resources to urgent cases first.
